You Made a Vow part1

Do you remember the last crisis (Click here: Crisis or Christ Consciousness) in your life. Did you make a (Deathbed) vow to extricate yourself. Remember! You promised God that you would, never do that again!, stop!, go!, finish, abstain! clean-up!, give-up! go back!, return!, marry!, give!, do right!... Like a CROW caught in a snare, did you pray to God for release and relief. Did you make a vow to offer some frankincense at his altar and shrine. All loathing death, unplanned pregnancy, low school grades,  humiliation, destruction, did you once vow to renounce cigarettes, fornication alcohol, drugs, divorce. Vows made in storms are forgotten in the calm of the storm. A vow (Lat. votum, vow, promise.  vow to "bring a gift,"[   A vow is a solemn promise made to God to perform or to abstain from performing a certain thing. The earliest mention of a vow is that of Jacob. Ge 28:18-22; 31:13

Three kinds of Vows:

        1, vows of devotion;
        2, vows of abstinence;
        3, vows of destruction

Vow formulation: first a condition is stipulated, beginning with the word "if," and at the end a certain promise to do something is made, dedicating his belongings to the Lord. All these vows have an introductory formula, a conditional statement, and a promise.

Don't go there!  I don't want to discuss that! 'don't visit that place' Well! God answered your prayers. You avoided the jail sentence, he raised you up from your death bed, you passed the entrance exam, you are working for your ideal employer. It is time to pay up. Did He go there. He didn't go there did he.

You plight God your troth-fidelity, troth a solemn pledge of fidelity... I plight thee my troth. Well God is not a God that He should forget your promise. It is time to pay up. No, I am not completely accurate here. God plight and has pledged a solemn pledge of fidelity to you.

"That which has gone from your lips you shall keep and perform, for you voluntarily vowed to the Lord your God what you promised with your mouth." (Deut. 23:23)

"When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; for He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed." (Eccl. 5:4)

"It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as Holy, and afterward to reconsider his vow." (Pr. 20:25)
