Don't be discouraged
Joy comes inthe morning
Know that God is nigh

Stand still and look up
God is going to show up
He is standing by (repeat)

(Bridge)
There's healing for your sorrow
Healing for your pain
Healing for your spirit
There's shelter from the rain

Lord send the healing
For this we know
There is a balm in Gilead
For there's a balm in Gilead
There is a balm in Gilead
to heal the soul

(Repeat Bridge)

For there's a balm in Gilead
There is a balm in Gilead

Sometimes ministry, family, ideas, businesses, relationships "hit a wall." Sometimes your Ministry faces a wall. We may face discouragement that threatens our very existence. It seems that the very existence and continuance of your Ministry is in peril. You've prayed, believed, your faith is strong...but your change hasn't come. Has Satan has found your address and telephone number. Struggle is the proof that you have not been conquered by the enemy. Sometimes you hear someone say, or you read, "then he hit a wall".  Runners "hit a wall." It's a point where the runner is exhausted and in pain. But if she keeps running, the runner can go past this point. "Get a second wind." David "hit a wall." His experience is described in, 1Sam30:6   And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. David learned the lessons in the University of Preparation.

Preparation is the anecdote for failure. Jesus, David, and John the Baptist enrolled in the University of Preparation. They were entered as probationers at designated time-fullness of time, and in David’s time, when there was more work to be done, at twenty (1 Chr. 23:24, and so Ezra 3:8); but they must be five years learning and waiting, and so fitting themselves for service; nay, in David’s time they were ten years in preparation, from twenty to thirty. John Baptist began his public ministry, and Christ his, at thirty years old. The prevailing thought is to prepare 3 years and minister 30 years. The University of preparation suggest many years of preparation and limited years of ministry. The issues are (1.) That ministers must not be novices, 1 Tim. 3:6. It is a work that requires ripeness of judgment and great steadiness, and therefore those are very unfit for it who are but babes in knowledge and have not put away childish things. (2.) That they must learn before they teach, serve before they rule, and must first be proved, 1 Tim. 3:10.

Scripturally the bible says, Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me. The movie The Karate Kid illustrates the principles of preparation and learning.  "Wax on Wax off" is preparation.  The Karate Kid : What does the quote "Wax on Wax off" mean?  : It's from the movie "The Karate Kid" (1984) starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita. Pat Morita was supposed to be teaching Mr. Macchio karate, but all summer the karate master had the kid just painting stuff and waxing his car. However, the painting and waxing techniques were secretly teaching his muscles karate moves, and when the karate lessons actually began, he found it relatively easy to learn. "Wax on, wax off" was one of the stern instructions repeated at the beginning of the lessons.
