Presence Driven Life phase 3 is Building a team

Hosea 11:4 (Amplified Bible) 4I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love, and I was to them as one who lifts up and eases the yoke over their cheeks, and I bent down to them and gently laid food before them

I am asking you to make an appoint with someone (team) to agree with you concerning the gifts and treasure in you. You will appoint with the team until you agree. Amos 3:3 (Amplified Bible) 3Do two walk together except they make an appointment and have agreed? You will find that person when their values match your values. The person will look like your dream. They will say  "Let us make" consult about it and concur in it. They will give a word of consultation.

You have completed 40 Days Presence Driven LIFE 2. A result of an encounter with God is a commission. he will begin to give you an assignment. However, your new assignment can not be accomplished without a team. The focus for Presence Driven Life phase 3 is Building a team. All of us are called to do something great. But we can't do it ourselves. We have to create a team to solve problems. God can't participate in your aspirations and conversation unless your conversation is about Him. Truth void of Him is death.

We are called to something great but we can't do it ourselves. Vincent Lombardi said The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual. Andrew Carnegie: Quotes on Teamwork: Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. Teamwork is ( Ghandi) discovering where people want to go and then taking them there. Leadership speaks of a team.

I encourage you to challenge and build your character. What you do may soon be forgotten. When you build your character you build your dream. Character is the fortitude that allows you to lead. What you are will outlast what people say you are.

You are not a victim. You are a victor. Where are you right now! You are at the place where your character has left you. Are you accomplished, troubled, frustrated, divorced, bankrupt, successful, lost. These are issues of character and priorities.

Here is a few thoughts that will take us through the Team building process for the  next 40 days.

  • Find your voice by clarifying personal values

  • Define core values

  • Align yourself with people who share your values

  • Choose small project victories in the beginning

  • Work as a leader

  • Leaders are constant learners

  • Develop Spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, personally

  • Challenge status quo

  • proactively change things

  • You need to change

  • Change Grow Improve

  • Build from scratch

  • inspire a shared vision

  • Model the way do what you're talking about

  • Find out your passion

  • What do you want people to say about you when you're gone

  • Fall Forward

Hosea 11:4 (Amplified Bible) 4I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love, and I was to them as one who lifts up and eases the yoke over their cheeks, and I bent down to them and gently laid food before them

BLEST BE THE TIE THAT BINDS

Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above.

Before our Father’s throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares.

We share each other’s woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.

When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.

This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,
And longs to see the day.

From sorrow, toil and pain,
And sin, we shall be free,
And perfect love and friendship reign
Through all eternity.

Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.

 Music Ministry Revival part70

 Music Ministry Revival part70

Music Ministry Revival and Teamwork

Teamwork is a sign of the Music Ministry Revival.  We are called to something great but we can't do it ourselves. It is the mission of the Music Ministry to build a team. The Music Ministry is a function of the spiritual body Ephesians 4:16

 Their may be a paradigm shift during Music Ministry rehearsal. It is a shift from Music Rehearsal to success waiting to be platformed. A project orientated Music Ministry is targeted for limitation. The Music Ministry limitation is in the inherent limitation of the Music Ministry project. The project is limited by the time, money , morality of the leadership, and scope of the project. A Music Ministry Icon can build a Music Convention, produce the highest gross CD sales, start a church, develop BET gospel music programming. But, these do not change the morale climate of the Music Cosmos alone. Music Ministry spiritual and character development can deliver a movement of God. We need  Music Ministry CD projects, music conventions, workshops, and choir festivals? Perhaps, the Music Ministry can be balanced by a focus on spiritual and character development. This character and spiritual awaking comes by Music Ministry Revival.

Let us consider the realm of the Music Ministry project. Music Ministry created in the realm of the flesh, produces fleshly Music projects (Galatians 6:7-8 ). I do not stand in judgment of the Music Ministry. But, does the Music Ministry know more about Music projects than God. Does the Music Ministry know more about adding a contemporary sound, choreography, praise dancers, digital recording, hip hop, mime worship, theatrical production than God. Is the Music Ministry myopic in attaining Music goals and objectives without attaining eternal life for the Music Cosmos and Music Ministry? Can the Music Ministry success be based on Music Ministry Conventions , Mega Music Icons producing CDs, praise teams, soloist, mass choirs, BET gospel music programming? But, I know that a Music Ministry that sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life for the Music Cosmos and Music Minsitry.  Galatians 6:7-8 (Amplified Bible) 7Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.  8For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

The Music Ministry must retool the Music Ministry.  Consider ushering in a season of deemphasizing the Music Music Product (Sunday Choir selections). A reemphasis on character development through the encounter with holiness of God-transforming power of God. Some of the rehearsal time has to be spent in discovering how the gifts work. Gift assessment, realization,  actualization is part of Music Ministry. Each person in the Music Ministry suited/fitted for Music Ministry success. The Minister of Music approaches Music Ministry as a Music servant.  He/She realizes that she/he does not have the complete measure of Grace, faith and authority to accomplish complete Music Ministry. Consequently, the Music Ministry starts to build a team. Ephesians 4:16 (Amplified Bible) 16For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according tothe effectual working in the measureof every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Church attendance is enhanced by contemporary worship. However, church attendance can still be attributed to a churches ability to provide; a sense of belonging, place for membership significance, and secure place (consistency). Music Ministry success can not be built around the Music Ministries ability; to go Hip-Hop, modern/contemporary Gospel, generate CD sales, venerate Music Ministry Idols/stars, praise team worship and praise.

It is the mission of the Music Ministry to build a team. The team will be built around the gifts of each member. Each member of the Music Ministry has been given a measure of Grace, faith and a measure of authority. Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Romans 12:3 ...according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Measure, mevtron , Metron , met'-ron  measure, an instrument for measuring , a vessel for receiving and determining the quantity of things, whether dry or liquid , a graduated staff for measuring, a measuring rod proverbially, the rule or standard of judgment , determined extent, portion measured off, measure or limit , the required measure, the due, fit, measure

  1. Measure of faith: Romans 12:3 (Amplified Bible) 3For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself morehighly than he ought [not tohave anexaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.
  2. Measure of rule: 2 Corinthians 10:13 For we shall not have glory over measure, but by the measure of the rule [but after the measure of rule] which God measured to us, the measure that stretcheth [till] to you.1 Cor 12:1,4,8-11 1 Corinthians 12 1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

  3. Measure of Grace : 7But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Teamwork is a sign of the Music Ministry Revival.  We are called to something great but we can't do it ourselves. Music Ministry Revival needs a team. Two are necessary for Multiplication. Amos 3:3 (Amplified Bible) 3Do two walk together except they make an appointment and have agreed? The team is as strong as its weakest link.

Teamwork and the Movement of God

The Music Ministry Revival will sink or swim based on its teamwork. Could teamwork among the Music Ministry solve:

  • World Hunger

  • A common agenda for Music Ministry Convention-leaders

  • Lower the increasing divorce rate among Music Ministry couples in their 40s, 50s, 60s and even the 70s

  • Music Ministry and AIDS and drug dependency

  • Control, Distribute , Produce CD for the general Music Ministry

  • Sexism, classism, racism in the Music Ministry

  • Affordable Senior Housing for the Music Ministry

  • Music Ministry pension funds

  • Retooling the the Music Ministry from Industrial Pipe Organ, organic Piano to electronic instruments

  • Institute Remedial music education program for the Music Ministry

  • Updating resume service for the Music Ministry who is out of work

  • Redeem rap music into Christ-centric rap Music

17th Annual Black Church Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS, March 5-11The Balm In Gilead, Inc.™ and the African American Faith Community is preparing for the 17th Annual Black Church Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS, March 5-11, 2006, the largest AIDS awareness campaign targeting the Black faith community. An Overview of the Week of Prayer

The Black Church Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS is a powerful week of prayer, education and action. This national AIDS awareness campaign engages Black congregations to support, encourage and empower African Americans, Africans and all people of the Diaspora to take action toward stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS in Black communities worldwide.

HIV/AIDS continues to spread out of control in our community! African American women are disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. As such, HIV/AIDS is the leading cause of death among African American women ages 25 to 34.The rate of AIDS cases for African American women is 25 times higher than the rate for white women.

Of the estimated new AIDS cases, 61% are among African American teen girls ages 13 – 29. African American Gay men continue to be at high risk for infection, accounting for an estimated 57% of AIDS diagnoses among men.*

Over the past year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a serious outbreak on many historical Black college campuses. After almost 25 years of fighting AIDS unsuccessfully in Black communities, time is certainly running out on us!

We need every pulpit that speaks to Black people to raise their voices and encourage people to speak out about HIV/AIDS in the following ways:

1. Educate our congregations, our children, our neighbors and our families about this disease. There is no cure. All we continue to have are prevention messages and behaviors;

2. Distribute information on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment education and care;

3. Encourage individuals to take the HIV/AIDS test. So many of us are living with the virus that causes HIV/AIDS and do not know it. Thus, we are spreading the virus unknowingly to our wives, husbands, lovers, friends, as well as to strangers;

4. Develop partnerships with the local health department and/or AIDS service community that will support your HIV testing and information distribution efforts;

5. Affirm people living with HIV as children of God who have been certified by God’s grace –just as all members are affirmed.

All night Friday Prayer February 24, 2006 10:00 PM EST

Dear 40 days Presence Driven Life phase 2

Click here Add your own Prayer request Now Pass this post on to a friend now...

The 40 days Presence Driven Life project is growing. Participants have included members from Florida, New York City, New Jersey, Texas On Friday February  24, 2006 10:00 PM EST, I will be inan all night prayer service with Sarah Cranford. I believe that some of the issues that (you) we are praying about will be realized only by prayer and fasting. Matthew 17:20-21 But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

The focus of the 40 days Presence Driven Life of the all-night prayer and fasting will be the manifest movement of God in our lives, our churches life, and our families lives. We will petition God to bring it close. The focus of the 40 days Presence Driven Life is to manifest a movement of God in our midst. Therefore, we have de emphasized reading text or giving test. We believe that His presence manifest amongst us-His presence is the balm that will make us whole

I am requesting that the New York Area participants join me at the Friday February  24, 2006, at 10:00 PM EST all night prayer service with Sarah Cranford. I realize that the 40 days Presence Driven Life members are in different time zones. So, I am asking everyone to consider dedicating Friday February  24, 2006 to prayer and fasting in conjunction with us

I am also encouraging members who can not attend the entire night participate with us part of the evening.

Different Kinds of Fasts

There are various kinds of fasts:

  • the absolute fast, which is without water or food and needs to be approached with careful consideration as you are led by the Holy Spirit;
  • the normal fast, which is without food for a limited time -- one day up to seven, and sometimes even forty days, but with water or liquids;
  • the partial fast, which is a limited diet like going without tea, coffee, delectable fare, non-vegetarian, breakfast, or any of the meals during the day for a period of time; and
  • going without sleep for a night, spending it in prayer.

Fasting needs to be accompanied by prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit. If we make an outward show of fasting, expecting sympathy from people around us, then Jesus says that our motives are not right and it is, in fact, hypocritical and motivated by self-interest. We can go about our daily routine without making a show of fasting and have moments of prayer if our schedule is busy. The idea is not to make an issue about personal fasting, whether with lack of food or lack of sleep, but to go about your daily business with a normal attitude. We are called to fast in secret with a desire to hunger for God and His presence in our lives. Such a selfless attitude enables our prayers to be heard and answered as well. God sees the sincerity of our heart and He is pleased when our motive is simply to do our best to love Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Abstinence from food and/or drink as an element of private or public religious devotion. Fasting is nowhere commanded in the Torah and, in fact, is never attested earlier than the time of the judges of (cf. Judges 20:26). The fact that Jesus and the disciples sanctioned it by their own example (Matt 4:2; Acts 13:2-3), however, is sufficient justification for its practice in biblical times and, in fact, in modern times as well. The Hebrew verb sum [Wx] is the only one used to describe fasting as a religious exercise. It (and its cognate noun som [/x]) conveys the explicit meaning "to abstain from food" and thus occurs regularly as a technical religious term. The Greek verb nesteuo [nhsteuvw] and its companion noun nesteia [nhsteiva] occur consistently in the Septuagint as translations of Hebrew sum [Wx] and som [/x] and as the usual terms for fasting in the New Testament.

Black History 2006 Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz )

Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz )

At a speaking engagement in the Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom on February 21, 1965 three gunmen rushed Malcolm onstage. They shot him 15 times at close range. The 39-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival at New York's Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.

Quote from The Ballot or the Bullet (12 April 1964): Whether you are -- Whether you are a Christian, or aMuslim, or a Nationalist, we all have thesame problem. They don’t hang you because you’re a Baptist; they hang you 'cause you’re black. They don’t attack me because I’m a Muslim; they attack me 'cause I’m black. They attack all of us for the same reason; all of us catch hell from the same enemy. We’re all in the same bag, in the same boat. We suffer political oppression, economic exploitation, and social degradation -- all of them from the same enemy. The government has failed us; you can’t deny that. Anytime you live in the twentieth century, 1964, and you walkin' around here singing “We Shall Overcome,” the government has failed us.

But when you go to a church and you see the pastor of that church with a philosophy and a program that’s designed to bring black people together and elevate black people -- join that church. Join that church. If you see where the NAACP is preaching and practicing that which is designed to make black nationalism materialize, join the NAACP. Join any kind of organization, civic, religious, fraternal, political, or otherwise that’s based on lifting the black man up and making him master of his own community.

Malcolm X Born Malcolm Little in Omaha, Nebraska on May 19, 1925, Malcolm was the son of a Baptist minister, who was an avid supporter of Marcus Garvey's Universal Negro Improvement Association. While living in Omaha, the family was often harassed — at one point the family's house was set afire. In 1929 the family moved to Lansing, Michigan. While in Michigan, Malcolm's father was killed; his body severed in two by a streetcar and his head smashed. In his autobiography, written with Alex Haley, Malcolm asserted that his father may have been killed by members of the Ku Klux Klan. His mother, stricken by the death of her husband and the demands of providing for the family, was committed to a mental institution.
