Music Ministry Revival and Teamwork

Teamwork is a sign of the Music Ministry Revival.  We are called to something great but we can't do it ourselves. Vincent Lombardi said The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual. Andrew Carnegie: Quotes on Teamwork: Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.

Teamwork is ( Ghandi) discovering where people want to go and then taking them there. Leadership speaks of a team. Music Ministry Revival needs a team. Two are necessary for Multiplication.

 

The team is as strong as its weakest link.

Teamwork and the Movement of God

A crowd of 200,000 hears Mahalia Jackson's moving rendition of the inspirational "I Been 'Buked and I Been Scorned," which precedes Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC.

First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and Secretary of the Interior Harold Ickes, the great contralto appeared the following Easter Sunday (9 Apr. 1939) on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial before an appreciative audience of 75,000. She began the concert by singing "America" and then proceeded to sing an Italian aria, Schubert's Ave Maria, and three Negro spirituals, "Gospel Train," "Trampin,"' and "My Soul Is Anchored in the Lord." Notably, she also sang "Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen." Commemorating the 1939 Lincoln Memorial concert is a mural at the Interior Department; it was formally presented in 1943, the year that Anderson made her first appearance in Constitution Hall, by invitation of the Daughters of the American Revolution and benefiting United China Relief.

An eye-witness recalls: "Such marvellous singing, quite unrehearsed, could only be created by the Holy Spirit. No choir, no conductor, no organ - just spontaneous, unctionised soul-singing. Once the first hymn was given out, the meeting ran itself. There was no leader, but people felt an unseen control. Singing, sobbing, praying intermingled without intermission." Singing was a fruit of the revival. Many of those powerfully filled by the Holy Spirit recorded their experiences, especially of how they trembled, laughed and sang for hours afterwards.
