Nigeria: Kurt Carr for 2007 Jam Festival

The 2007 edition of JAM Mega Festival, the popular annual all-night of music, prayers and praise is billed to hold at the Eagle Square, Abuja, the nation's Federal Capital Territory on Friday, March 9, 2007.

Hosted by House on the Rock The Refuge, Abuja, the JAM 2007 edition, according to Pastor Obi C. Ekwueme, has the theme: Nigeria Arise. It is expected to draw prominent gospel artistes and musicians from the United States, Nigeria, and other parts of world. Artistes and musicians expected to perform at this year's JAM Festival includes; the American Gospel Artist Kurt Carr with his 14 crew members, Mike Aremu with his 10 crew members, Gordon of DC Envoy amongst other top artists expected.

 

Pastor Obi further noted that JAM 2007, the sixth in series will mark a turning point in the nation's life as it comes weeks ahead of the general elections billed for April this year.

"As a people committed to vision of One Nation Under God, we want to use the platform of JAM Mega Festival 2007 to stand in the gap for our country, Nigeria. For us it is time to sound the clarion call for Nigeria to Arise from slumbers to greatness; to be the best God has destined her to be,

JAM Mega Festival over the years has remained a vital voice in promoting national unity, patriotism and inspiring Nigerians to pray, praise, and thank God for our country, Nigeria. It has been used by God to bind the nation together," said Pastor Ekwueme.

JAM Festival which debuted in 2002 has remained the most attended Christian musical programme in Abuja that draws tens of thousands in attendance.

Other acts performing include Muyiwa Olarenwaju from UK, he was present at last year's JAM, Kingsley Ike, Keruzo Dabce Theatre.
