THE Christmas spirit has struck Prince Tendai Mupfurutsa who is preparing to release his very own Naked Fire album just in time for the holidays.

The Barbed Wire sensation, who released his first hit single -- Zimbolicious -- early this year, is getting ready for the holiday festivities with his very own Christmas release, featuring classics such as November Rain, International Dirty Heartbreak, Day By Day and Rumbidzai among others.

Describing the album, Prince Tendai, as his fans affectionately know him, said it is "tropical in its entirety and heartbreaking."

However, the 12-track album touches on several topics ranging from soul searching, love to heartbreak.

"It's about time I release a bombshell," he said, adding that "This is an early Christmas present."

One of the highlights on the album is the song titled International Dirty Heartbreak about a guy who was engaged to his long time lover who dumps him and leaves for the United Kingdom and then later she's in Amsterdam.

The sad part is that she works as a dancer in one of the strip clubs. There is a female dancer in the video who is likely to be the talking point for a long time to come.

The way she wriggles her waist and her outfits are simply out of the ordinary.

On Naked Fire, this is a warning to men who are in the habit of going after other men's women.

Prince Tendai says a married woman is like a live wire and one needs not mess up with her because you might find yourself in hot soup.

In the accompanying video, he takes the girlfriend out but to his surprise a guy called Fernando snatches the girl from him and takes to the dance floor.

Angered by Fernando's move, he warns him that if he continues playing with his girlfriend he was "playing with a naked fire."

November Rain featuring Afrika Revenge is a love ballad and has a smoothbeat for those who enjoy laid-back songs.

Day by Day is an acoustic number the Harry Bellafonte type.

Another heartbreaking song is called Rumbidzai. This is a song about a girl who after breaking up hooks up with her boyfriend's best friend.

Prince Tendai says although they have long separated, it wasn't right for the girl to "get it on" with his friend because it hurts.

He says she could go out with another person, not one of his friends.

The video album features some of the slick clips but Prince Tendai said he wasn't going to submit any of them to either Nama or Zima.

"I do not want to create a dilemma for the judges because in a way they would not have a choice and yet they also would want to give the awards to other artistes.

"So that's unfair to both the judges as well as other artistes. I believe I've set the standards high for myself and other artistes," he said.

However, he said, the videos would be played on music channels such as ZTV, Channel O and MTV Base.
