Zimbabwe: Musicians Set to Perform At Harmony for Humanity F

Harare

SEVERAL local musicians and dancers are scheduled to perform at this year's edition of Harmony for Humanity fair to be held at Prince Edward School in Harare on December 3.

The fete, that is being celebrated under the theme "Embracing our diversity", will showcase prominent musicians like Bob Nyabinde, the Mbare Trio, Imbongi Jazz, Jeys Marabini and Skhu. Traditional dance groups that include Makishi from Victoria Falls, Matjinge Primary School, Mabhiza Dance Group, Arcturus Primary School and a Scottish dance group will perform at the event.

The fair's artistic director, Albert Nyathi, last week said the event seeks to foster a culture of appreciation and understanding of other cultures.

"By providing a platform for various ethnic groups to share their different art forms ranging from dance, theatre and music, the event seeks to use this diversity to encourage harmonious living and social cohesion," he said.

Nyathi added that CBZ A Academy contestants would grace the official opening of the event.
