Ravenous Laughter at the Brook and Famine

Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'

Warfare always surrounds the Birth of a miracle. Man is prone to trouble and warfare as the sparks fly upward. Obedience appoints warfare/famine and a miracle of provision. God promises that you are as far from your miracle as it first appeared. You are closer to the miracle, than when you first believed. 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear, The hour I first believed!

Scenario

  1. Famine is coming

  2. Your mission is to the  Zarephath widower

  3. Through obedience-laughter and provision

Zarephath smelting-shop, "a workshop for the refining and smelting of metals", Sarepta (modern Sarafand (Lebanon), biblical Hebrew צרפת, Zarephath, Tzarfát ) was a Phoenician city on the Mediterranean coast between Sidon and Tyre. It was near to, or dependent on, Zidon. almost midway on the road between Tyre and Sidon

In Famine the sign of provision is the raven. God will hide you at the brook and command The Raven (voracious appetite) of your existence to feed you. God feeds the vulture (raven’s carnivorous habits) of your life's existence.  God apparently takes an obscure, unnatural, absurdity to communicate His Sovereignty and love.  The vulture of your existence is fed by God. You become the raven for the widow.

Bowls of WRATH!If Heaven fails- earth fails Re 15: 7 seven golden bowls that were full of the anger of God

In famine thou shalt eat and drink

Lo! If the Heaven fails, the earth will fail.  Everything on earth has an appointed time. Each person, place, or thing has a shelf life. Shelf life is that length of time that food, drink, medicine and other perishable items are given before they are considered unsuitable for sale or consumption. In some regions, a best before, use by or freshness date is required on packaged perishable foods.

Ecclesiastes 3:22-8

A right time for birth and another for death,
A right time to plant and another to reap,
A right time to kill and another to heal,
A right time to destroy and another to construct,
A right time to cry and another to laugh,
A right time to lament and another to cheer,
A right time to make love and another to abstain,
A right time to embrace and another to part,

A right time to search and another to count your losses,
A right time to hold on and another to let go,
A right time to rip out and another to mend,
A right time to shut up and another to speak up,
A right time to love and another to hate,
A right time to wage war and another to make peace
.

If Heaven fails- earth fails. If the earth fails, creation will fail.

The seven plaques of the earth

Job 5:19He will deliver thee in six troubles, and in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

20In famine he will redeem thee from death, and in war from the power of the sword.

21Thou shalt be hidden from the scourge of the tongue; and thou shalt not be afraid of destruction when it cometh.

22At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh, and of the beasts of the earth thou shalt not be afraid.

23For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field, and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

24And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace; and thou wilt survey thy fold, and miss nothing.

25And thou shalt know that thy seed is numerous, and thine offspring as the herb of the earth.

26Thou shalt come to the grave in a ripe age, as a shock of corn is brought in in its season.

27Behold this, we have searched it out, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thyself.

Each of us will experience a famine. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh, and of the beasts of the earth thou shalt not be afraid. God promises to pour into your obedience.  It is promised to those who trust in God, that they shall not be ashamed in evil time; in days of famine they shall be satisfied. (1Ki 17:17-24) People will pour into obedience. But there is a river which makes glad the city of God, that never runs dry, a well of water that springs up to eternal life. Lord, give us that living water! (1Ki17:8-16) Gen 8 The wells of the seas and the floodgates of the heavens stopped, and the rains ... 7 He set loose a raven which flew around until the waters dried up. God shows up at the neighborhood!

Gods judgment

Gods decree

Gods provision

1I saw Heaven and earth new-created. Gone the first Heaven, gone the first earth, gone the sea. 2I saw Holy Jerusalem, new-created, descending resplendent out of Heaven, as ready for God as a bride for her husband. 3-5I heard a voice thunder from the Throne: "Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They're his people, he's their God. He'll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone—all the first order of things gone." The Enthroned continued, "Look! I'm making everything new. Write it all down—each word dependable and accurate."

1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
