WHITNEY HOUSTON AND BOBBY BROWN TO DIVORCE It's been a fact for quite a while that the14-year marriage of troubled superstar Whitney Houston and not-on-the-top R&B singer Bobby Brown is on the rocks. This is also confirmed by the reported plans of getting divorced of the two singers. The New York Daily News reports that the 36-years-old Bobby has been telling friends and acquaintances he is divorcing ex-drug-addicted diva after an infamously tumultuous marriage. At the same time, at the beginning of this month, the former New Edition band member was reportedly seen flirting with a group of beauties backstage at an all-star concert featuring R&B groups SWV, Guy and Blackstreet at the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. It's rumored that while flirting with a bunch of women, they asked, “What's up with your wife?” and Bobby answered that “We ain't together no more. We're getting a divorce.” The couple is frequently at the centre of tabloid stories, on their admitted drug and alcohol battles. In December 2003, Brown was arrested on charges of misdemeanor battery against Houston in their Georgia home. The 42-years-old diva has one child with Brown, a 12-years-old daughter, called Bobbi Kristina. Could the strangest couple in the last 10 years finally be coming to an end? Sources close to Whitney Houston and husband Bobby Brown say so, and apparently a trip to divorce court is soon at hand. According to the article, "Brown, 36, and Houston, 42, have made headlines frequently in the past, as both have struggled with problems with drugs and alcohol...The couple are the parents of a 12 year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina." No say yet as to what will happen with the child, or the money, but this is one to stay tuned to.

Houston's rep Nancy Seltzer confirms to TMZ that Houston intends to divorce Brown, and that filing for a separation is just a "legal technicality" on the way to divorce. Seltzer did not divulge any further details concerning where or when the filings were made, and calls to Brown's lawyer were not returned. Houston and Brown have been married for 14 years and have one daughter, Bobbi Kristina. Whitney was spotted out last night with producer Clive Davis at the 15th Annual Ella Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Davis recently said that a new album from Whitney Houston is in the works.
