I Got Your Back

Moses (Ex. 33:23) and Simon (Luke 23:26) viewed the back of God. Their views were between a rock (Horeb) and a hard place (rock of Ages). Their are some parallels to their glance at God's Back. A "back" view is the protocol for the humble, servanthood,  and obedience.  It was a view into their eternality and future. It was also compelled to servant hood in the face of overwhelming odds. Both men suffered the stigmata (thorns) of an encounter of the Almighty.  Their obedience saved and healed (Isaiah 53:5) a nation (Israel) and the world (John 3:13). The mandate for the Kingdom is a view of His back. His back gives us a forward, prophetic view. Paradoxically, Luke 9:62 (Amplified Bible) 62Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.

I challenge you to see His back today.

The protocol for a glimpse of God is from behind. Our stance is steps behind the King as required by protocol. The answer to your future is a snapshot of God's Hindsight. A snapshot of His back is a future view for us. God has already been where you are going. The view of God's hind part is a future view for us. The issues and circumstances must be a God back view. Any other human hindsight of your issues and circumstances may obscure your view of God's Back. Moses and Simon were compelled to view God from the cleft of the rock. Jesus is a type of the Rock. He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock. That shadows a dry thirsty land He hideth my life in the depths of His love, And covers me there with His hand, And covers me there with His hand. Moses had a view of God Hindsight-Back parts. Moses had to view God from the cleft of the rock. As the nation of Israel wandered through the wilderness, they became parched, thirsty, desperate for water, but there was no water to be found for the people to drink. They came to the rock in Horeb, which means “desolate” from a root word meaning “to parch (through drought)”. Truly, it was an arid, hot, barren land that they wandered in! They began to complain and argue with the man of God, Moses. He, in turn, cried unto the Lord, and the Lord responded with a beautiful picture of the salvation found in Jesus Christ – water from the Rock.

Simon from Cyrene had a view of Christ (the rock of Ages) from behind. he was compelled to carry the cross. Luke 23:26 As they led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus. Mark 15:21 A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross.Simon of Cyrene

You are not equal to the task God has given you. You become worthy when you get a view of His Back. The chastisement of our peace was upon him: and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5). By His back stripes we are healed.  His hind parts rwxa, 'achowr, aw-khore'   , back(s) , backward , behind , hinder parts , afterwards , back parts , backside , hereafter , time to come , without 1the back side, the rear, backwards, hereafter (of time), behind. You are unworthy of the honour, and not par negotio—equal to the task. The more fit any person is for service commonly the less opinion he has of himself: Judge. 9:8 Judges 9:8 (Amplified Bible) 8 One time the trees went forth to anoint a king over them, and they said to the olive tree, Reign over us.

You can get a view of God'shind parts. You can envision a snapshot of where God has been. Their is a Vail between man and eternity. Only God "Exist" in the forever of our existence. Exodus 3:14 (Amplified Bible) 14And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you!

God existence is in eternity. 1. That he is self-existent: he has his being of himself. 2. That he is eternal and unchangeable, and always the same, yesterday, to-day, and for ever. 3. That he is incomprehensible; we cannot by searching find him out: this name checks all bold and curious inquiries concerning God. 4. That he is faithful and true to all his promises, unchangeable in his word as well as in his nature; God may exist for or through eternity, or at all times, having already existed for an infinite amount of time and being expected to continue to exist for an infinite amount of time. Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men".
