Fortifi@ Radio #20 7 Vigorous Responses to a Vitriol Attack Pg1

Character: 7 Vigorous Responses to a Vitriol Attack

Proverbs 15:1 1 A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. (The Message) 1 A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire.

So, the first rules for Vigorous Responses when you are trying avoiding a Vitrol Attack: Stop trying to avoid it! Why? It’s inevitable. Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. (The Message)  17-19Don't hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you've got it in you, get along with everybody. Don't insist on getting even; that's not for you to do. "I'll do the judging," says God. "I'll take care of it."

You do not have a future in music without an adversary. John 16:33 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”  (The Message) In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world."

The adversary is cunning. Many accusations that the enemy hurls at you are factual but they aren’t truthful. Secondly, the adversary will always tip their hand. The area of attack will be telegraphed by the enemy. God is trying to bring you victory and authority in the areas Stan attack you.

God has an enemy. You have an enemy that hates the God in you. Your enemy and adversary that hates your music assignment. The adversary will manifest their self through people. Sorrowfully, some of the music ministry’s greatest adversaries come from the music family. While we try to live peaceably with all people. St. Thomas Aquinas said “To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” However, Integrity may demand a response to attack.

Integrity may mandate, a response to attack. Recent political events have conjured vitriolic banter inside and outside the election campaign.

Jeremiah Wright at National Press Club

This is not an attack on Jeremiah Wright,” the minister said. “It is an attack on the black church.” He positioned himself as a mainstream voice of African American religious traditions. “Why am I speaking out now?” he asked.
“In our community there is something called the dozens. You thinkI’m going to let you talk about my mama and her religious traditions, and about my daddy and his religious traditions?” he asked. “You’ve got another think coming.”

A musicians’ integrity may mandate, an imminent retaliation to attack. But, the purpose of battle attack is to produce a reward. A Music Ministry cautionary alert is being issued regarding the battles the music ministry initiates an/or encounters.  This is a cautionary Alert! Please receive this either cautionary or imminent alert. Don’t engage in combat unless you know the battles’ reward. The purpose of conflict, combat, skirmish and combat is to produce a reward.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.”

Don’t accept every invitation to battle. You may live another day to fight. Avoid unnecessary conflict. Don’t enter into an unnecessary war. You mustn’t teach the opposition your style and response to battle. You must not fight too often with one enemy, or you will teach him all your art of war. Napoleon Bonaparte Repeated conflicts will elevate your enemy. Conflict will dissipate your focus and redirect your energy for battle.

Which battle should you encounter?

  1. An enemy that that challenges your authority and steals your reputation and talks "stuff" about you

  2. enemy that takes your possession and home

    a.    You will need a legal advocate

    b.    get clarity

    c.     get truth

    d.    insist on accountability

  3. enemy that takes your possession and home

  4. enemy that takes and negatively influences the people you love

  5. enemy that challenges your right to worship

It is not what condemn a musician hears that will condemn him. It is the response that a musician renders that will condemn them.
