Namibia: Finnish Artists Converge on Namibia

A five-member Finnish deaf-arts delegation on Wednesday arrived in the country to engage their counterparts in a cultural exchange programme with the National Association of Deaf.

"During the next few weeks the Finnish artists will conduct workshops in rap-music, dance, theatre and drama with similar Namibian artists in the capital," said the Charge de Affaires, Seija Kinni-Huttunen in a press release.

The visiting artists include: Marita Barber-Saunamaki and Maija Koivsto, two theatre and drama artists, Juho Saarinen, a dancer and Marko Vuoriheimo, a rap-artist.

For the next few weeks the visitors will work in close cooperation with Namibian deaf artists as can be seen on the photo with on the foreground the Charge de Affaires, Seija Kinni-Huttunen.
