February 28, 2006. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Hezekiah Walker may be coming to grips with his homosexuality. Since our expose on Pastor Walker (which can be viewed here), he has turned to friend and fellow gospel recording artist Donnie McClurkin, for advice and spiritual guidance. McClurkin, who is no stranger to gay sex, has publicly admitted to carrying on a promiscuous gay lifestyle for nearly 20 years. Now claiming to be "cured" of homosexuality, McClurkin counsels Christian men on how to resist gay urges. McClurkin receives 80 to 100 emails a day from men looking for help, some of which come from ministers. According to McClurkin, "ministers write me and say they can't tell anybody else [about their homosexual desires]". Insiders are saying that Hezekiah Walker is seeking this unorthodox form of counseling from McClurkin.

Walker and McClurkin are not the only prominent gospel artists to be caught up a gay sex scandal. MediaTakeOut.com has uncovered that legendary gospel artist Rev. James Cleveland was also a closeted homosexual. James Cleveland, the four time Grammy Award winning artist, had a gay affair with his own foster son, Christopher Harris. According to Harris, he and Cleveland engaged in a five year homosexual relationship that ended with Harris testing positive for the HIV virus. Harris sued the Cleveland estate, alleging Cleveland had sex with him and infected him with HIV. Since Cleveland's death in 1991, there has been widespread speculation that the gospel singer succumb not to heart failure, as was widely reported in the press, but to AIDS related complications. The Cleveland estate has since settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount of money.

Grammy-winning gospel artist and preacher Hezekiah Walker has denied a recent report that he would be stepping down from his pastoral position due to a secret homosexual lifestyle.

The report, which was posted on musicnewsweekly.com, claimed that Walker had “come out of the closet” during an “extremely bitter” divorce between he and his wife, Monique Walker, and was planning to step down from his pastoral position to live together with his gay lover, who was reported as being a transvestite.

An official statement released late last month by Walker’s management said that, “It’s all lies.”

“It’s completely false and not even remotely true,” it read.

Walker issued a personal statement shortly after saying that, “The enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy. Character assassination is one of the oldest weapons.”

“People weak in mind believe the worst about everyone,” he added.

Musicnewsweekly.com’s founder, Tim Hunter, posted a public apology to Walker on Feb. 24, a day after the rumor was posted, citing Walker as being “a heterosexual male who was the chosen victim of a total stupidity on behalf of many.”

According to Hunter, the original news about Walker’s alleged homosexuality had first appeared on mediatakeout.com, a celebrity gossip and news site that has posted a follow up to the story that includes claims that the Rev. James Cleveland, another prominent gospel artist who passed away in 1991, was also a “closeted homosexual.”

PROMINENT BLACK MINISTER IS GAY
****EXCLUSIVE****

February 15, 2006.
Media Take Out has learned that Pentecostal minister Hezekiah Walker, one of the most renowned Black ministers in the nation, is a reported homosexual. This startling revelation has come out during his extremely bitter divorce from his longtime wife Monique.

According to sources close to the divorce, Monique Walker suspected that something was awry when her husband infected her with a sexually transmitted disease. After confronting Pastor Walker about the disease, he reportedly admitted to carrying on an affair with a man who wears women's clothing and a blond wig. Sources claim that Walker then forced his wife and children from their home so that he could live in peace with his transvestite lover.

Pastor Walker's down-low lifestyle is particularly shocking given that he has been an outspoken critic of homosexual lifestyles.

A member of Pastor Walker's congregation seemed relieved about the news, explaining that she's "glad the cat is finally out of the bag." According to the woman, "many churchgoers left the church because of all the rumors [concerning Pastor Hezekiah Walker's sexuality], and hopefully now the Pastor will step down and the church members can come back."

Hezekiah Walker is probably best known for his gospel recordings which earned him 2 Grammy Awards and 10 nominations. He also performed alongside Mariah Carey during last weeks Grammy Awards.
