Today, 12 Days of July 2008  at 07/03/2008 5:37:18 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time a time of Supplication. Face to face encounter with God and you will live to tell the story.

This day God will take you into a new dimension. He , Himself will be inclined to be vulnerable to a wrestling match.

Can you imagine the prayer that grapples with the almighty. We  are dust. We made by the dust of the earth. So, to wrestle with God we must get a dusting from God.  Adam (Jacob) received a "dusting" (beating) from God.

A man's very highest moment is, I have no doubt at all, when he kneels in the dust, and beats his breast, and tells all the sins of his life.”

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. Write your injuries in dust, your benefits in marble.”

A dusting from God might imply a a new veneer. That which is contaminated dust must be redusted for a new dust veneer.

When your dreams turn to dust, vacuum

The fabric of our lives that has fallen to dust over the years must be reconstituted by new dust. This process may be like dusting the bread with flour. For 3 years the disciples stayed close to Jesus—listening to His teaching, watching His miracles, learning His principles, and walking in His dust. Dusting may imply a covering, coating...Cover - provide with a covering or cause to be covered; Dust.......rp[,`aphar

  1. dry earth, dust, powder, ashes, earth, ground, mortar, rubbish
    1. dry or loose earth
    2. debris
    3. mortar
    4. ore

As Jesus' followers today, we too can "walk in His dust." By spending time studying and meditating on His Word and applying its principles to life, we'll become like our rabbi—Jesus.  — Anne Cetas

Like Adam, Jacob had to be Kneaded by the Almighty. Kneading is a necessary step to ensure that natural bread dough rises properly. Adam, Jacob you, and I must be Kneaded for the second creation-new creation in Christ. Spiritual Kneading is a necessary step to ensure that you and I grow properly. God formed man of the dust of the ground. Likewise, God changed Jacob's name to Israel.] God formed (Jacob) Israel of the dust of the ground

Genesis 2:7 (New King James Version) 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

  • Adam was formed first; then God took Adam's rib and formed woman.
  • Jacob was formed first; then God touched Jacob's hip socket, and formed Israel (Gen. 32:25).
  • Similarly, the Church was created from the side of our Lord Jesus through the means of blood and water (John 19:34; Acts 20:28; 1 John 5:6-8).

We now have strength to move God.

We now have influence to move God

We now have Power to move God

Power to move God rwX,Suwr

  1. to be or act as prince, rule, contend, have power, prevail over
    1. (Qal) to rule over, govern
    2. (Hiphil) to make rulers, play the prince
    3. reign 1, have power 1, made prince 1

His strength - This strength was not of nature, but of grace. Strength received of God was well employed betimes; in it he wrestled for and obtained the blessing. The angel - Called ver. 3, God; and ver. 5, Jehovah, Lord of hosts. He was no created angel, but the Messiah; eternal God by nature and essence, angel by office, and voluntary undertaking. He wept - He prayed with tears from a sense of his own unworthiness, and with earnestness for the mercy he desired. He - God. Him - Jacob full of weariness, fears, and solicitude on his journey to Laban. He - God. With us - Being then in Jacob's loins

It is the month of the new birth. new birth means a new name.

When God gave someone a new name is was usually to establish a new identity. God changed Abram’s "high father" name to Abraham "father of multitude" (Genesis 17:5). God changed Jacob’s "supplanter" name to Israel “having power with God” (Genesis 32:28). He changed Simon’s "God has heard" name to Peter "rock" (John 1:42). Why did Jesus occasionally call Peter “Simon” after He had changed His name to Peter? My guess is that Jesus called him Simon whenever he was not being the “rock” God called him to be. The same is true for Jacob. God continued to call him Jacob to remind him of his past and to remind to depend on God’s strength. Another possible example is Saul / Paul. The name Saul means “asked.” The name Paul is a variation of the name Saul. The Bible does not say God changed Saul’s name to Paul. It only states that Saul was also called Paul (Acts 13:9).

  1. The evidence of the wrestle is in the divine dust of your clothing. You have been in in a brawl with God. You have prevailed.
  2. Put you finger in my hip socket. I'm maimed as a result of the wrestling match. I Limp!
  3. I have a new name-a new profession and assignment
Jewish Birth and Naming Rituals

On the first Sabbath after a Jewish child is born, the infant's father is called forward at the synagogue to recite the aliyah and ask blessings for the health of mother and child. If the child is a girl, she is named at this time. Boys will be named on the eighth day after birth, as part of the rite of circumcision.

Jewish children living outside of Israel are traditionally given a Hebrew name for use in religious rituals, such as the calling up to the aliyah (benedictions) and the ketubah (marriage contract), and a secular name for purposes of civil birth records and daily use.

The Hebrew name takes the form of "[child's name] bar [father's name]" for boys, or "[child's name] bat [father's name]" for girls. The name itself has no religious significance, and while itis often a Hebrew or Yiddish name, it can be a name from any language or culture. Ashkenazi Jews traditionally name their children after a recently deceased relative.

A man's very highest moment is, I have no doubt at all, when he kneels in the dust, and beats his breast, and tells all the sins of his life.”
