Pastor unhappy with churches

Pastor unhappy with churches
...For losing sight of God

PASTOR YAW Boateng of the Amsterdam-based True Teachings of Christ’s Temple (TTCT, is obviously not happy with the twist and turns of modern day Christianity.

He believes his colleague pastors and several other Christians have lost sight of God and instead have resorting to a mad rush for wealth and the riches that come with it.

The Man of God has thus cautioned especially pastors to against proclaiming prosperity and good living than the word of God.

This he says is because the gospel is the key that unlocks the doors of prosperity, poverty and health.

Pastor Yaw Boateng believes that when the good news is understood, Christ would provide the basic needs of life for his children.

His concerns come in the wake of wide criticism that some pastors more often than not do capitalize on the weaknesses of unsuspecting people to exploit them.

Pastor Boateng made this statement when made a donation to the Pantang Psychiatric hospital in Accra.

For this reason, he has asked Christians to stay put and remain committed to God since with him all things are possible.

He emphasized the need for the churches in the country to reach out to the poor, sick and the needy without cost, stressing, “The church must preach the good news of salvation, hope and strive to assist the vulnerable”.

The goods he presented included food items and provisions worth over 7million and a cash amount of 5million, all totaling over 12million.

He also presented 20 student mattresses, 10 bags of rice, four cartons of milk, four packets of toilet roll and two boxes of soap.

Receiving the donation, Deputy Director of Nursing Services in charge of the Pantang hospital Mrs. Margaret Petterson thanked the donors for their gesture.

She expressed concern about the increasing rate of inmates at the hospital on daily basis, stressing the need for people to come to their aid.

“We should pray for them and not stigmatize and ostracize them. With your prayers and support, they will regain their health and rejoin their families and friends” she said.

During the donation, Pastor Boateng did asked Christians to remain resolute in their faith and always read the bible for direction and guidance.

Present at the short ceremony was Mr. Crowther Adika, Senior Nursing Officer and Elder Gabriel Dual and Deacon John Mensah and other family and friends who accompanied the pastor to make the presentation.

Later, the man of God stressed the church’s commitment to assist the poor, sick and the needy in Africa.

The Amsterdam-based True Teachings of Christian’s Temple is headed by Pastor Daniel Heimans.
