Visually impaired Julius Nemhara has proved that disability is not inability following the successful release of his eight-track gospel album titled, Zvakanaka Baba early this month.
The upcoming musician who is backed by a four-member group called The Victors said recording the album was a major challenge as some record companies at times were not ready to assist him in his project.
"I struggled for four years before my album was recorded and only managed to have it released by Zimbabwe Music Corporation early this month," said Nemhara.
The album is a collection of three tracks done in his mother language Shona, while the remaining songs where done in English.
The title track Zvakanaka Baba is a song in which he accepts his condition and thanks God for giving him the talent to sing and other skills for survival.
Nemhara started his project in 2005 but faced a number of drawbacks because of his disability, as he had no one to assist him. For him it was quite difficult to even form his own backing group The Victors as he received mixed sentiments from other people.
