In addition to his duties as a culture and arts consultant, Jones will contribute an original song to the Beijing OlympicsLOS ANGELES (AP) — Grammy-winning music producer Quincy Jones has joined film directors Steven Spielberg and Ang Lee as an adviser on Olympics opening and closing ceremonies for the 2008 Beijing Games.

Jones was named culture and art consultant, his publicist Arnold Robinson said Monday.

Spielberg and Lee were previously announced as Beijing Olympic Committee advisers for creation of the opening and closing ceremonies.

Besides serving as a consultant, Jones will compose an original song for the 2008 Beijing Games, Robinson said.
