CRUNK music star, Rasheeda, will perform live in Kampala this month. The US-based female rapper will stage a concert at Kyadondo Rugby Club on Saturday June 26, courtesy of Fat Boys and Rouge Entertainment.

Rasheeda will share the stage with some top Ugandan acts, including Bebe Cool, Blu3, Peter Miles, Grace, HB Toxic, Michael Ross, Benon & Vamposs and Rocky Giant.

Rasheeda's music style -Crunk - is a sub-genre of Hip hop music, which has a high-energy and club-oriented feel, as opposed to the East Coast and West Coast Hip hop. Her music, which is male-dominated, originates from Southern America, which entails Rasheeda's home town of Atlanta.

And who is Rasheeda? A very famous rapper in the United States, Rasheeda kicked off her music career in the early 90s as a member of the teenage trio, Da Kapers. In 2001, the budding rapper decided to go solo, and now has four albums to her name.

Last year, she released Dat Type of Gurl and has now recorded Certified Hot Chick, which she will reportedly be launching in Kampala when she comes.

Raheeda's aggressiveness and outstanding musical talent impressed internationally acclaimed stars like Akon, Lil Jon, and East Side Boyz, with whom she has recorded duets.

Rasheeda's Kampala show, code-named The Crunk Cookout, will set revellers back by sh10,000 adults and sh7,000 students.
