Teamwork and the Movement of God

Music Ministry Revival is at hand. It will manifest itself in the teamwork. (Miriam is named as a leader alongside Moses and Aaron., Paul and Barnabus and John Mark, Barnabus and John Mark, Paul and Timothy.  Moses and Aaron. Elijah and Elisha,) I am reminded in the Genesis creation account that The team called " Trinity " created. ~yhla plural of hhwla, elohiym , el-o-heem'   The Father, Son and Holy Spirit! (Gen 26God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image,). The plural form (although used with verbs in the singular form) is likely a plural of majesty or perhaps of intensity, either of deity or of power to signify "highly or intensely powerful." The plural form is accommodating of the doctrine of the Trinity. From the Bible's first sentence the superlative nature of God's power is evident as God (Elohim [yihl\a]) speaks a world into existence (Gen 1:3,6,9). His actions also bespeak his power.

The Insignificant Music Ministry practice:

Significant Salaries escalate in the Music Ministry while significant Music Ministry challenges escalate (Aids, divorce, drug abuse). One prominent Mega-Church was reported to compensate the Minister of Music a salary of $200,000.00 a year. Significant Music Ministry is not matched to prominent pulpits. Significant salaries do not necessarily match significant Music Ministry. Are their some employers who still under pay the Music Ministry? Health and retirement benefits are still not the norm. Some of these employers use the compensation o control and manipulate. On the other hand, an untrained, unhealthy, lukewarm, uneducated, disobedient, unfocused Ministry of Music nurtures a "Pimp and prostitute” relationship with the employer. Church attendance, tithing, concert series, and morale aren't the mission of the Music Ministry. Money is a reward for solving a problem. Money isn't a bludgeon for manipulating the Music Ministry into turning "ministry tricks" and magic on Sunday mornings. What is a sign of this type of Music Ministry? Is it Music Ministry predictability on Sunday mornings? Perhaps, it includes the worship sandwich on Sundays. A message (golden or preaching hour) is usually sandwiched between a prayer, a song, and a scripture. What is the most significant part of the service? When God show up….(?)

The Music Ministry is called to something great. But we can't accomplish it by ourselves. Consequently, we are called to inventory the body of Christ. The Music Ministry mandate is to create a team to solve problems. This means that your are a leader. You have to lead. You are called to think unlimited thoughts. Discover where the Music Ministry want to go and take them there. Your Leadership should be:
  • Attractive
  • Positive attitude
  • Humorous
  • Be a good listener
The Law of Significance

The first law of Teamwork is  Significance according to John Maxwell. Which music issues are sufficiently large in size, amount, or number to merit your music attention, having great power or influence, having great meaning or lasting effect. That issue is significant. The quality of being important. One is too small to achieve greatness. The Music Ministry success is based on the Music Ministries ability to make classical, jazz, ,gospel, hip hop, ministry important. Church attendance is enhanced by contemporary worship. However, church attendance can still be attributed to a churches ability to provide; a sense of belonging, place for membership significance, and secure place (consistency). Music Ministry success can not be built around the Music Ministries ability; to go Hip-Hop, modern/contemporary Gospel, generate CD sales, venerate Music Ministry Idols/stars, praise team worship and praise.

The Music Ministry Revival will sink or swim based on its teamwork. Could teamwork among the Music Ministry solve:

  • Lower the increasing divorce rate among Music Ministry couples in their 40s, 50s, 60s and even the 70s

  • Sexism, classism, racism in the Music Ministry

  • Affordable Senior Housing for the Music Ministry

  • Music Ministry pension funds

  • Retooling the the Music Ministry from Industrial Pipe Organ, organic Piano to electronic instruments

  • Institute Remedial music education program for the Music Ministry

  • Updating resume service for the Music Ministry who is out of work

  • Redeem rap music into Christ-centric rap Music
