KAMPALA Music School (KMS) celebrated its sixth anniversary with a concert at All Saints' Cathedral Nakasero on March 24.
The concert featured the KMS chorus, a 60-strong choral group comprising singers from All Saints' Cathedral, St Paul's Cathedral Namirembe, Kampala Singers and Christ the King Church.
The anniversary choir was manned by choral conductor Bob Barsby, 67, a retired British music teacher, who is currently volunteering at Kampala Music School.
Barsby's concert-programme was rich and strategic. It comprises songs by immortal classical composers like Wolfgang Mozart, Faure, Fanshawe as well as Negro spirituals and popular African Gospel songs. It was a well attended show.
