The First Annivesary of Rock Da Mic,a talen hunt Show initaited by multi-talented hip hop star Asha, will take place on Wednesday, December 20 2006 at The Whitehouse,Toyin Streeet-Ikeja. The Rock Da Mic Vol 1 compilation album will also be launched on same day.

The show for the past one year has served as a foundation for success of upcomming and fairly known entertainers like Yoink (aka Tripple X)of Big Brother Nigeria Fame; Black Soldiers just got a recording deal with little Fish Records.

The Ex president of the Performing Musicains Employers Association of Nigeria(PMAN),Charly Boy, was the special guest of honour among other eminent personalities of the day.

Rock Da Mic(Network)is a talent showcase that gives upcomming entertainers the chance to get discovered. It also gives them the privlege to groom themselves in preparation for their respective careers in the entertainment industry.

The Show is made up of four segments; artistes perfomance, Comedy, Choreography and Edutainment

For Asha who is the initiator of the programme, "it is my own way of contributing to the growth of the Nigerian entertainment industry"

The Rock Da Mic vol 1" is a music compilation that features all the "Rock Da Mic" artistes that have been discovered over the past one year.

Some of the Artistes on the compilation featured on the anniversary day along side Washington DC based,Queen Of African Hip Hop Madarocka and Abuja biggest underground act Rouge Man.
