SOLID PRAISE, a new gospel outfit, has emerged from Dzivaresekwa with a 10-track album, Gogogoi, that is set to carve a niche on the gospel scene.
The album, which has Soul, R'n'B and a'capella jams, is about surrendering everything to God and seeking the kingdom of heaven.
Gogogoi - which has soothing and powerful lyrics - is an irresistible album to keep one humming along all day long.
The 10-track album was expertly arranged and it appears due consideration and time was given to put it together.
The five-member group, which sings with a high degree of proficiency and maturity, is certain to succeed in gospel music circles.
Aneni preaches about the grace of the Lord, the love he is always giving his people and how he guides people to righteous paths.
In the title track Gogogoi, the group urges people to come to God.
The album gains credence with the song Garai Neni, which asks for the guidance and the intervention of the Lord in one's day-to-day living.
Tafadzwa Mhariwa, one of the group members, says the aim of the group is to bring people closer to God in times of hardships.
"We also want to do our fair share of imparting the word of God's kingdom to people and we are catering for all ages," said Tafadzwa.
Accompanying the album is the video to the song Ishe Ndinotenda which was expertly put together.
The group has also performed alongside Pastor G and Vabati Vevhangeri.
The whole album offers nothing, but solid praise.
