Largest Pipe Organ in China

 

To fulfill the concept of an excellent concert hall, Oriental Concert Hall is perfectly designed in part of acoustics and stage. The natural and beautiful melody can reach every corner in the hall with the help of the baffle boards around the hall as well as over the stage, which produces the best visual and sound effect.

Center performing stage is used in the concert hall. By changing the height of the elevated stage, many different forms
 
can be provided to qualify the grand symphony orchestra and the chorus performing together. The lifting stage for piano below is designed to store and elevate the piano during the performance.

The concert hall is equipped with an 88 diapasons 5-layer hand controlled keyboard pipe organ. As the biggest pipe organ in China, it is specially made for Shanghai Oriental Art Center by Austria Reagel Pipe Organ Co., Ltd.

The stage is surrounded by auditorium of 1953 seats looking like hundreds of hills. Thus, the stage becomes the valley hiding among the hills, while the elliptical glass baffle boards on the wall turn into white clouds.

The whole concert hall is quite natural and harmonious in arrangement, giving audiences the feeling of listening to the sounds of nature sitting on hills and highlands.
